Solitude invested heavily into their downhill track in 2025 — a true modern classic. The course drops from 10,000 feet through aspens and exposed rock sections. We feel lucky to get our community's wheels on this track for Fourth of July weekend.
Tentative Run of Show — Finalized schedule posted race week
The course drops from above 10,000 feet through steep chutes and aspens with exposed rock faces. One of the steepest pitches in the series, with a punchy finish through the village.
Solitude is 30 miles southeast of Salt Lake City up Big Cottonwood Canyon (UT-190). The canyon road is well-maintained but narrow and winding. No gas stations in the canyon — fill up in the valley.
The finish line area at Solitude Village is free and open. The compact village layout makes it easy to watch finishers and grab food between runs. There's a spectator viewpoint about 10 minutes up from the base.
Solitude Village is small but has everything you need for race weekend. Salt Lake City is 45 minutes away for anything else. July 4th weekend means crowds everywhere — plan ahead.
