The back side of the Tetons. Fresh-cut trail through wildflower meadows, real big-mountain downhill racing on some of the most beautiful terrain in America. Series director Shawn Neer grew up dreaming of racing in the Tetons — bringing MSC to Grand Targhee was the first thing he did when rebuilding the series.
Tentative Run of Show — Finalized schedule posted race week
This year’s course starts on Blondie — one of Targhee’s signature trails — then drops into a fresh-cut lower section built specifically for MSC. The trail team is making Blondie even better, and the new lower half will create one of the most memorable finishes of the season.
Blondie → Fresh-Cut Lower → Meadow Finish
Grand Targhee is on the west side of the Tetons, about an hour from Jackson Hole Airport. The last 12 miles from Driggs to the resort go off-grid — no cell service, one road in. Download maps before you leave town.
Grand Targhee has on-site lodging and camping at the resort — 3 hotels plus car and tent camping available.
The finish line is an open meadow with a straight view of the Grand Teton — free, no ticket needed. On-site dining and drinks are available at the resort, and The Trap Bar is the place to be after a race.
Grand Targhee is remote — plan accordingly. Driggs (about 15 min) is the nearest town with real services and great dining options for exploring the region.
