Line up against the fastest pros in the country. MSC Pro fields compete for a $15,000 equal-split cash purse at every round — distributed evenly across men's and women's podiums. Seeded start positions based on USAC ranking.
From Cat 1 — accumulate 15 points over 36 months.
Cat 1 riders at MSC earn timed seeding runs on Saturday alongside the Pro field — same course, same conditions, same intensity. This is the highest amateur category and the proving ground for riders pushing toward a Pro card.
To Pro — 15 points in 36 months. Mandatory upgrade at 20 points in 12 months or 2 wins in fields of 20+ starters.
Cat 2 is where racing gets real. You've moved past entry-level fields and now you're chasing results against strong regional competition. MSC's deep Cat 2 fields mean every upgrade point is hard-earned — and worth it.
To Cat 1 — 10 points in 36 months. Mandatory upgrade at 15 points in 12 months or 2 wins in fields of 20+ starters.
Cat 3 is the starting line for USAC-sanctioned racing. Whether you're brand new to competition or crossing over from unsanctioned events, MSC venues across the Rockies are the perfect place to earn your first race finishes and start building upgrade points.
To Cat 2 — complete 5 race finishes. Mandatory upgrade at 5 top-5 finishes in fields of 15+ starters.
